Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 September 2026
These terms apply to your use of Clipz Engine (the “Service”), available at clipzengine.com. The Service is operated by Amani Nchapha, a sole proprietor trading as Clipz Engine, based in Johannesburg, South Africa (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. What the Service does
Clipz Engine is software that analyses long-form video you upload or connect (streams, podcasts, interviews and similar), suggests and produces short clips, learns your preferences from the choices you make, and, if you turn it on, can post clips to accounts you connect.
2. Accounts
You must give accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live, to use the Service.
3. Plans, minutes and billing
- Plans and prices are shown on our pricing section. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of video minutes processed.
- The trial includes 60 minutes of video at no cost and adds a watermark to clips. No card is required.
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until you cancel.
- Unused minutes do not carry over to the next billing period.
- All payments are final and non-refundable, as set out in our Refund Policy.
- You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- We will tell you before any price change takes effect on your subscription.
4. Payments through Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to your purchase. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to the videos you upload or connect and to the clips made from them. You give us permission to store, process and transform that content only to provide the Service to you, including posting clips when you ask us to. You confirm that you own the content or have the rights and permissions needed to clip and publish it, including when you clip content for another creator.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- process content you do not have the rights to use;
- create or distribute unlawful, infringing, hateful or sexually explicit content involving minors;
- break the rules of any platform you connect (for example YouTube, Twitch or TikTok);
- attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or overload the Service, or resell it without our permission.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
7. AI output
Clip suggestions, captions and titles are generated automatically and may contain mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing what you publish, unless you have chosen to let the Service post automatically, in which case you accept that clips will be published without review.
8. Connected platforms
If you connect a YouTube account, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. You can disconnect any platform at any time from your settings.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service running but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or improve features. If we make a material change to these terms, we will notify you by email before it takes effect.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is”, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may end access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
